Getting started
What is DropSnare?
DropSnare is a new service being built around catching expiring .co.uk and .uk domains. This first release opens member accounts so you can register, verify your email and manage your details.
What can I do on the website today?
You can create an account, sign in, verify your email and update your profile or password. Domain search, backorders, auctions and payments are not available in this release.
Is there a charge to create an account?
No. Account registration is free and we don’t ask for card details when you sign up. Creating an account does not commit you to placing an order.

Which domain endings will you support?
We’re starting with .co.uk and .uk. Support for other domain endings is not part of the current release.
What is domain catching?
Domain catching is an attempt to register a domain when it becomes available again after release by the registry. An expired domain may still be renewed, so expiry does not by itself make the domain available.
Can I place a backorder now?
Not yet. Backordering will be added in a future release. We’ll show the price, payment arrangements and applicable terms before accepting an order.
Is a successful catch guaranteed?
No. The current holder may renew a domain, its release may change or another party may register it first. A catching attempt can never promise ownership.
Does my account reserve a domain or a place in a queue?
No. Registering an account does not reserve any domain or give you priority for a future backorder. It simply gives you access to your member account.
Your account
Why do I need to verify my email?
Verification confirms you can access the email address on your account. It helps protect your account and makes sure important account messages can reach you.
I haven’t received the verification email. What should I do?
Check your junk folder, then sign in to review your email address and request a new verification email. If the page reports that email delivery is awaiting setup, delivery is not yet ready and your message is waiting in the queue.

What if I forget my password?
Use the password reset link on the sign-in page. We’ll send a time-limited reset link to the registered address if an eligible account exists. Your current password is never sent by email.
How do I close my account?
Contact us from your registered email address to request account closure. We may need to confirm it is your account before handling the request.
