1. Who we are

DropSnare is operated by SERALLO DOMAINS LTD, company number 17217704. We are responsible for the personal information processed through this account service.

Our contact address is Apt 2, 11A West Cliff Road, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH2 5EP.

For privacy questions and requests, email support@serallo.co.uk.

This notice covers the current website and member-account service. Additional information will be provided when features such as backorders and payments become available.

2. Information we use

When you register, we store your name, email address, a one-way password hash, account role and status, email-verification status, acceptance of account terms and relevant account dates.

We also process verification and password-reset requests, account-related emails, session data and records of security or administration events. The application uses a keyed identifier derived from your IP address to help limit abuse. The hosting server may also record technical access information, including IP addresses.

The current registration process does not collect payment-card details, domain registrant details or backorder information.

3. Why we use it

We process the information necessary to provide your requested account service on the basis of performance of our account agreement with you. This includes creating and maintaining your account, authenticating you, managing access and sending verification or recovery emails.

We rely on legitimate interests for limited security records and support administration. These interests are preventing misuse and unauthorised access, resolving account problems and keeping the service reliable. We consider the information needed for those purposes and the effect on your privacy.

Where a specific law requires us to process or retain information, we rely on legal obligation for that processing.

Creating an account does not subscribe you to a marketing list. This release does not send optional marketing emails.

4. Service providers

Our hosting and email-delivery providers process information needed to run the service. Account emails are sent through the email provider configured for DropSnare. Access within the business is limited according to the permissions needed to operate and support the service.

We do not sell account information. Information may be disclosed where required by law, or where necessary to investigate misuse or protect legal rights.

You can ask us for details of the providers used for your information and any relevant international transfers and safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

Account information is kept while the account is open. You can contact us to request closure and deletion. Some information may need to be retained where there is a specific legal requirement or an unresolved security or legal issue.

Routine application retention
RecordRoutine retention
Verification and reset linksTime-limited. Used or expired token records are removed by maintenance after expiry.
Queued account-email contentEncrypted while waiting and removed after acceptance by the email server. Queued messages expire within 24 hours; expired content is removed by the email worker or routine maintenance.
Email-delivery records14 days.
Application security and audit events90 days.
Private application error logs14 days.

These periods apply to the application’s routine maintenance. Hosting logs and backups follow the hosting arrangements, and information retained to handle a specific issue is reviewed separately.

6. Essential cookies

We use an essential session cookie to maintain your account session and support security checks on forms. Without it, signing in and submitting protected forms would not work reliably.

This release does not load optional analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies in your browser; blocking essential cookies may prevent account features from working.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update your name from your member account and change your password from its security section. Contact us if you need other information corrected, want a copy of your personal information or wish to request account closure.

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or transfer of personal information. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Your right to object

You can object to our use of your information based on legitimate interests, explaining how it affects your particular situation. We will assess your objection and stop that use unless there are compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests and rights, or the information is needed for legal claims.

Contact us about your information

If you are concerned about how your information is handled, please contact us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

8. Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our handling of information changes, including before new services collect additional information. The date at the top shows when this version was last updated.
